Sloww Stuff
A month ago I summed up everything you need to know about Sloww in this post: What is Sloww?
I expanded on that original post by organizing all the relevant articles on the site for each specific stage. Keep in mind, these stages are just what I’ve seen from my own journey’s evolution and emergence over the last few years. Since every path is unique, you may be interested in elements from multiple stages at the same time. Enjoy!

Modern Knowledge
๐ The Milky Way Like You’ve Never Seen It
(Astro Anarchy)
Everything about this is incredible. J-P Metsavainio is a Finnish visual artist and astrophotographer. His latest project? A 100,000 pixel wide mosaic of the Milky Way. It took 12 years (2009-2021), 1,250 hours of exposures, and a whole bunch of sky. About 20 million individual stars are visible in the photo!
PS: Did you know that the matter we are familiar with (Earth, stars, galaxiesโmade of protons, neutrons, and electrons bundled together into atoms) makes up less than 5% of the mass of the universe? The rest is a mysterious, invisible substance called dark matter (about 25%) and a force that repels gravity known as dark energy (about 70%).
PPS: Curious about the largest photographs ever taken?
“My passion is to reveal some of the hidden beauty of our universe.” โ J-P Metsavainio
Timeless Wisdom
๐งโโ๏ธ๏ธ Is it Possible to be Busy Without Getting Stressed?
(12 mins | YouTube)
Short answer: Yes! It is possible to be busy without stress. Eckhart Tolle says being busy without stress means being totally focused on whatever you happen to be doing right now. If there’s no stress, there’s a heightened sense of aliveness (also called “enjoyment”).

“You might have heard the Zen saying, ‘Hurry slowly.’ It doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to be slow. You can be fast. The slow is the inner stateโthe slowness is the stillness and the peace that is still there even while externally you may be very active.” โ Eckhart Tolle
๐ญ Deep Quote
“Man in the West has succeeded in attaining all the affluence that the whole of humanity has been longing for down the ages … Outwardly all is available, but the contact with the inner is lost … Possessions are there, but the master has disappeared … Richness is there, but man is not feeling rich at all … Think of this paradox: when you are outwardly rich, only then do you become aware of your inner poverty, in contrast. When you are outwardly poor, you never become aware of your inner poverty because there is no contrast. You write with white chalk on blackboards, not on white boards. Why? Because only on blackboards will it show. The contrast is needed.”
